BrowZine allows you to browse and access all journals that are instantly available to you via library subscriptions. The bookshelf section of BrowZine allows you to group and organise your must-read journals. This makes keeping up-to-date with your favourite journals much easier as you don’t have to search for them every time that you want to read them. You can also receive notifications when new issues have been published and are available to access.
To use the bookshelf feature you will need to create an account on the BrowZine website (or log in if you already have a BrowZine account). Once logged in search for a journal that you like to keep up-to-date with. Select the required journal from the search results list and then click the “Add to my Bookshelf” button (usually located on the left-hand side of the page). Continue this process for all journals that you would like to add to your bookshelf.
To access your bookshelf at any time log in to BrowZine and select the ‘My Bookshelf’ option from the menu (log in if prompted). You can rename each of your four virtual bookcases. You can also rename each shelf in order to aid organisation. Drag and drop journals to rearrange or hover over a journal cover and click the menu icon that appears for available options.
Red dots on a journal indicate that there are new articles to read. The number in the dot shows how many articles have not been read.
You can be sent email notifications when new articles are available to read. When logged in click the cog icon in the menu bar. In the BrowZine account section pick how often you’d like to receive notifications. You can also turn email notifications off.
BrowZine is also available as an app. Download it for free from your device’s app store.
